Wifi connection-3 steps

1. Please make sure the console is plugged into power adapter when connect to wifi, please make sure you connect to the 2.4 GHz band router.

2. First, register at Weathercloud.com and log in, then add a weather station device, fill in the name and choose model "FT Series", then finish other information. After registering successfully, please record the Weathercloud ID and Key information for later use.

3. Second, register at Wunderground.com and log in, click "My Profile" to enter the Member Settings, then click Update home location, you will be prompted to add a new device, fill in name and choose the device hardware "others", then finish other information. After registering the host successfully, please record Station ID and Station Key information for later use.

4. Third, connect your device to the console's wifi. When you first power up the console, or press and hold the MIN/MAX/ button for three seconds in normal mode, the wifi icon will flash to signify that it has entered WAP (wireless access point) mode, and is ready to enter for WIFI settings. Use your PC/ phone/ pad connect to the WeatherHome-xxx, once connected, enter the IP address we provide into any browser's address bar to access the console's web interface. Finish fill all information.

Once connected to Wi-Fi successfully, the NicetyMeter 0370L weather station could choose the time SYNC with Wunderground.com and Weathercloud.com, then you can view current and historical weather information on PC, smart phone or pad. ADJUSTABLE BACKLIGHT: The backlight is adjustable in three brightness levels, adapting to the different environments of day and night. To save power, the backlight will turn off within a few seconds of being switched on, or it can be switched on permanently by setting it to suit your needs.

Can your weather stations be connected to Tuya?

No, Our weather stations can’t be connected to Tuya.

Can I have the weather data send to my specified device or platform?

No, the weather data can only be sent to weathercloud and wunderground.

Does the weather station store data itself?

No. it doesn’t store data, the data can only be stored in the clouds.
Or with the software, it can store up to 5000 groups of data (for modelFT0345)

Hong long can the data be stored?

That depends on your membership on weathercloud and wunderground.

When the outdoor sensor lost connection with the display console, how to reconnect them?

1, Check if there is a router, computer…, too close to the display console, move the router or the display console to another room, because those devices may disturb the connection.

Reset the outdoor sensor set

Check the outdoor sensors, when it works normally, the LED light blinks every 16 seconds, if there is no blinking, please try to replace new batteries, and press the reset button. if there is still no blinking, please contact your supplier to change the outdoor sensor set.

Reset the indoor display console

After the indoor display console and the outdoor sensors get disconnected, the display console will keep receiving the signal of the outdoor sensors for 3 minutes, if there is no signal, it will stop receiving. Even you get the outdoor sensors reset and send signal again, it can’t get connected. In this case, remove and reinstall the batteries of the display console or long press button “CH” for 3 seconds, till the signal icon blinks.

Why the rain volume is not correct?

1, Check if the outdoor sensors are firmly installed, make sure it not swings with the wind blew.
2, Check if there are leaves, stones or other stuff stuck in the rain collector, make sure the rain collector is clean.
3, When you first install the outdoor sensors, you may have swing the rain collector a little bit, there will be rain data even it didn’t rain. Please clear the rain data, and observe it for few more days.

Customer Questions & Answers

Question: How do you program the device, with an cell phone only, or do you use a keyboard?

Answer: Cell phone or desktop programming for this device is very limited. It's only used to set your WIFI connection and accounts for uploading your data to the Cloud sites.

Question: Can this be used in apt balcony.

Answer: Obviously any brand weather station sensor should be mounted out in the open at least 6ft off the ground. Example Balcony facing East would have winds from the West Blocked by the building!

Question: How do you calibrate indoor temp.?

Answer: Please turn to page 34 of the operating manual or subscribe to our video.

Question: How do you set date and time

Answer: If you connect the unit via Wi-Fi time and date can be set via internet.

Question: I need to be able to read the sensor values directly from the weather station using a program. is the api published to directly access the data?

Answer: Not this devic

Question: Can you see the rime displayed in the dark?

Answer: You can see it dark or light, plus display light adjustment.

Question: Does the outdoor sensor unit require rechargable batteries?

Answer: No, it doesn't require it. I would recommend though using lithion-ion batteries. They won't leak or burst like a NiMH or similar battery. And the lithiom ion batteries usually last quite a long time.

Question: If a portion of the Osprey goes bad, can it be replaced, or do I have to buy the whole thing? For example, the rain gauge goes out...

Answer: It depends on the part but if the rain gauge fails, the entire sensor array needs replacing. The sensor array is relatively less expensive.

Question: Does this weather station sample the peak wind speed every second, and then transmit the data every 16 seconds?

Answer: the wind speed is averaged over 16 seconds and the wind gust is sampled every second.

Question: Best mount for this unit?

Answer: Just be sure that it can 'see' wind coming from all directions and that it doesn't read air temperatures from hot surfaces (concrete, roofs, etc.) If you can mount it to a free-standing mast that would be ideal.

Question: Does the display show instantaneous (amount as if falls) rainfall?

Answer: Yes, it does. Rain Rate is defined as the rainfall in the last 10 minutes, multiplied by 6 (10 minutes x 6 = 1 hour). This is also referred to as instantaneous rain per hour
